RAVA HALWA (SEMOLINA HALWA)




INGREDIENTS

Rava (sooji) – 1 cup
Sugar – 1 ¾ cup
Milk – 2 ½ cup
Ghee – 1 tbs
Cashew – 5 to 6
Cardamom powder – ¼ tsp

METHOD

Heat ghee in a pan, break the cashew into small pieces, fry till brown and keep aside.
In the remaining ghee add the rava and fry till light golden brown.
Add the milk and allow to boil till rava is well cooked.
Now add the sugar and cook till it is halwa consistency, for about 5 mins.
Now add cardamom powder and garnish with cashews.

VARIATION

If you want colour you can mix a pinch of red food colour in a little milk and mix it before adding the sugar.
