PEPPER CHICKEN



INGREDIENTS

Chicken – ½ kg
Onion – 2
Tomato – 1
Fennel seeds (saunf) – 1 tsp
Cinnamon – 1 small stick
Cloves – 2
Curry leaves – few
Coriander leaves – little
Oil – 2 tbs
Ginger garlic paste – 1tbs
Chilly powder – ½ tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Cumin powder – ½ tsp
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Garam masala powder – ½ tsp
Pepper powder – 2 tsp
Salt to taste

METHOD

Cut the chicken into small pieces
Cut onions and tomato into to fine pieces
Heat oil, add fennel seeds, cinnamon, cloves, and curry leaves one by one
Now add ginger garlic paste and sauté for 30 secs and add onions and sauté
Now add the tomatoes, sauté for a min and add the chicken
Add chilly, coriander, turmeric, cumin, garam masala powder and sauté
Add little water and cover it with a lid till the chicken is well cooked and the water is fully dried.
Now add the pepper powder and cook for a min.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

SERVING TIP

This makes a good side dish for sambar, rasam and chicken gravy
