MASAL VADAI (CHANNA DAL VADAI)



INGREDIENTS

Channa dal – 1 cup
Green chillies – 3
Onion - 1
Ginger – 1 inch piece
Curry leaves – few
Pudina – few leaves
Coriander few leaves
Asafoetida – ¼ tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for frying

METHOD

Soak the channa dal for an hour
Chop the onion, curry leaves, pudina and coriander leaves finely.
Grind the chillies, ginger into a fine paste and then add the channa dal and grind it roughly using little water.
Mix salt, onion, curry leaves, pudina and coriander leaves along with channa dal make dough that is not watery.
Heat oil in pan and make flat vadas out of the batter and deep fry them.
Remove from oil when brown and serve.
