MANGO PACHADI (RAW MANGO SWEET)


INGREDIENTS

Raw mango – 1
Sambar powder – ½ tsp
Green chillies – 2
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Salt – a pinch
Jaggery – 1 cup
Oil – 1 tsp
Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
Uradh dal – ½ tsp

METHOD

Peel the skin of the mango and cut the mango into small thin pieces
In a pan add a cup of water, mango, turmeric powder, sambar powder, salt and green chillies which are slit length wise.
Boil till the mango is cooked and the water is dried
Add the jaggery and boil till the jaggery dissolves.
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and uradh dal and add it to the pachadi

SERVING TIP

This makes a good side dish for sambar, rasam and curd rice
