BEET ROOT RAITHA




INGREDIENTS

Grated beet root – ¼ cup
Onions – 1
Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
Curd – 1 cup
Green chillies – 2
Sambar powder – ¼ tsp
Coriander leaves – little
Salt to taste
Asafoetida – a pinch


METHOD

Cut the onions and chillies into small pieces.
Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan, add the mustard seeds green chillies and asafoetida.
Add onion and sauté for 2 mins. Add the grated beet root, sambar powder, salt and sauté till it is cooked.
Add the above ingredients in a cup of curd.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.


NOTE

This can be used as side dish for chapatti also
