RAVA MAIDA DOSA



INGREDIENT

Rava (semolina) – ¾ cup
Maida – ½ cup
Rice flour – ½ cup
Onion – 1
Green chillies – 2
Curry leaves – few
Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
Uradh dal – ½ tsp
Oil – 3 to 4 tbs
Salt to taste
Asafoetida – ¼ tsp

METHOD

Chop onion and green chillies finely.
Mix rava, maida, rice flour, salt and asafoetida together in a bowl.
Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, uradh dal, curry leaves, onion and green chillies and sauté.
When the onion is golden brown, add the mixture to the flour mix.
Add water and mix till the batter is a little watery.
Now heat the tawa and pour the dosa batter around on the tawa, do not spread it with a spatula.
Pour 1 tsp oil around the dosa.
When it is cooked on one side, turn it to the other side and cook till it is brown.
Your dosa is ready.

SERVING TIP

Coconut chutney is a good accompliment.
